The cinema opens 10-15 minutes BEFORE the start of the first session and closes 10-15 minutes AFTER the last session ends. These times will vary from week to week.

Movie schedules are determined on Mondays for films opening on Thursday of the same week. Schedules are posted on the Metro Cinemas website by Tuesday evening. Or you can sign up for our weekly newsletter.

Our Christie Digital projectors use the latest, most advanced technology to project fantastic quality, high definition images on to our large screens. As well as being of superior image quality to traditional 35mm film prints, Digital Projection means no more scratched, damaged or jumping images and a greater dynamic range with surround sound. Our Digital projectors also allow the screening of modern 3D films using RealD technology.

Once session times are listed on our website, tickets can be purchased from the candy bar in prior to the film's opening. We recommend for the most popular films, during the weekends and holidays that you plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the advertised start time or drop in during the day and purchase early.

Your ticket will ensure you a seat however we do not allocate seating. Popular films will generate longer lines for tickets and gaining entry into the cinema. We advise to get a preferred seat we suggest you arrive early for your movie.
